Introduction to Wanna Polymer GPC Testing Services

Ⅰ、Instruments and Equipment

The company is currently equipped with four sets of advanced GPC equipment covering the testing needs of THF, DMF and water phase:

2 sets of Waters-E2695 equipment: equipped with 2414 differential refractive detector, processing THF and water phase GPC.

2 sets of Agilent Technologies 1260 Infinity II equipment: equipped with 1260 Infinity II RI differential refractive detector, processing THF and DMF phase GPC.

1.THF phase

1) Waters-E269 is equipped with Agilent PLgel Mixed-B and PLgel Mixed-C tandem columns, 35℃, flow rate of 1 mL/min. Supports PS and PMMA standards. The measurement interval is Mn = 300-200W

2) Agilent 1260 Infinity II also uses PLgel Mixed-B and Mixed-C tandem columns, and the test conditions are the same. Supports PS and PMMA standards. The measurement interval is Mn = 300-200W

2.DMF phase

1) Agilent 1260 Infinity II is equipped with Agilent Polargel-M single column, 50℃, flow rate of 1 mL/min. Supports PS and PMMA standards. The measurement interval is Mn = 200-100W

3.Water phase

1) Waters-E2695配安捷伦PL aquagel-OH MIXED-M柱，40℃，流速1 mL/min。支持PS和PEG标样。拥有PEG（聚乙二醇）标样，测量区间为Mn = 300-50W。超出测量区间精准度下降。

Ⅱ、Standards and curve description

• THF and DMF are used: purchased polystyrene PS (370-1416000) and polymethyl methacrylate PMMA (535-2210000) standards. In addition, the company has independently developed PMA polymethyl acrylate and PNIPAm poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) standards, and special standards can be prepared according to needs (but expensive).
• Water phase: Use purchased PEG (800-100w) standard products. The company has independently developed PDMA poly(N,N dimethylformamide) standard products, which are more suitable for polyacrylic acid and polyacrylamide.
• We regularly update the standard curve (every 2-3 weeks) and calibrate the items with PS or PEG to ensure detection accuracy.

Ⅲ、Sample preparation method

• Sample volume: 3-5 mg. Solvent volume: 1 mL.
• After the sample was left to stand for 1 hour, it was filtered using a 0.22 micron filter membrane (nylon, PTFE, PVDF, etc.), and the aqueous phase GPC was filtered using a special aqueous phase 0.22 micron filter membrane.
